OLLIE, the Owl, makes His Debut

OLLIE the Owl finally gets to be shared. He made his destination! He can now greet my daughter's classroom and the world!   I hope he will bring a smile to lots of faces!

Chalk Board Designs, new obsession??

I've been facinated by all the chalk board designs and projects.  My Pinterest has a dedicated board called Chalk It Up! Chalk is a medium that is so versatile and fits in with all my other craft obsessions.

So with my daughter's rustic/chic wedding looming in the near future, I decided to jump in with both feet like I tend to do with all my other creative outlets.

I purchased 2 instruction/idea books, a large double-sided, wooden framed sidewalk sized chalkboard, a set of small table boards with easels and a set of liquid chalk markers. 

My purchases will serve me well at the wedding, catering events at work, as photo shoot props and quilt shop advertising. So I feel very justified with my splurges. 😁😁

Below is my first attempt for a work event next week. I'm pleased with the results.

Quick Office Window Decorations

My boss tossed me $10 bucks cash and asked if I could pickup some window clings to decorate her office. The plan was to go to Dollar Tree. Certainly! No problem, right? WRONG!! NO window clings available at DT. Yikes!! What to do with just $10 bucks??

Time to get creative!!

Soooo, DT has lots of very pretty bows and bags cheap!! So a little tape, a few spare suction cup hooks and a package of tissue paper. We're in business!!

About 30 minutes later.. Presto! A bright & festive 3-D Holiday decorations.. Bonus: they are reusable for their intended purpose!!

Painting Fun, my little owl Ollie

On this snowy day, I've switched crafts and did a little painting. This little owl turned out pretty darn cute. Better than I hoped since I've never painted or drawn owls. This project will be a door sign after I add the wording.

Anyone else rotate between multiple craft hobbies/obsessions?

Patriotic Fabric + Rainy Day = Quilting Day

My sewing machine had been calling my name lately. So, a few free days at home, tubs of collected Patriotic FQ's and a nice Ohio Star diecut from Accuquilt has spawned a stack of 12" quilt blocks. I'm in my happy plscewhen I'm crafting of any kind. I've

always wanted to make a Patriotic quilt, so I'm extra blessed.. I'll post updates so feel free to follow along.
